MEET OUR BIBLE WORKER

Scott Chapdelain

We are pleased to introduce Scott Chapdelain our intern Bible Worker. He has recently joined us from Tucson, Arizona to receiving training as a Bible Worker and to assist us with our evangelistic efforts in the Portland area.

Scott left his position as a 4th grade teacher in order to devote himself full-time to the Lord’s work. He shares this testimony about why he decided to receive training in our internship program:

“My reason for coming is to help carry the last message of warning to the world. To learn how to further the gospel work in this earth so that light may be carried to the ends of the earth. As an instrument in the Lord’s hands, my prayer is to be used by the Lord to have a small part in the furtherance of the gospel in this wicked and perverse world.”

Scott became a Christian more than twenty years ago while in the military. His roommate was a Baptist and often talked with him about the Bible. As he began to study the Bible for himself he started to look for a church that taught the truths he was learning through his own study. At a Seventh-day Adventist church he found an elderly minister who studied the present truth with him. He immediately started to share his faith through giving Bible studies to solider in his unit. He was baptized as a Seventh-day Adventist in 1984.

After leaving the military Scott took at training course at Hope International and served for a short time as a missionary in Nicaragua. Since then he has continued to be active in evangelism while preparing for and working in his teaching career. We praise the Lord that he has now chosen to devote all of his time to working for the Lord.
